A bamboo grove in Engaku-ji
Touched by the mild breeze of spring, the bamboo grove awakes from a sleep and begins to stir restlessly.

Very glad to hear from you again. Of course, all that you have said here and all of what the rest of us have said here and elsewhere, can't cope with the very consecuences of the disaster, but we all hope that, with our sympathy and efforts can at least mitigate de pain and sorrow of it.

Again, an amazing bamboo grove...
In deep bowing and gassho.-
Dear Mariano:
Thank you again and heartily for your deep and warm compassion towards the Japanese people and us.
Today I visited the temples of Kita-kamakura to again pray to Buddha for the recovery and happiness of the earthquake sufferers.
I am very glad to know that you like my bamboo-grove photo.
May all living things be happy.
With friendly regards,
